Markets in Roermond

Several markets are organised weekly in Roermond’s city centre. Here you can relax and browse among various stalls.
On Wednesdays you can vist the weekly market at Munsterplein and an organic market at Stationsplein. On Saturday you van enjoy the weekly market at the Market square & Munsterplein and an antiques market at Kloosterwandplein (from April through October).

Weekly market

A market is held every week on Wednesdays at Munsterplein and Saturdays at the Market square and Munsterplein from 9.30 am. to 4 pm. In the summer months, the market is even openen an hour longer until 5 pm.

The market features various types of stalls, including: fresh vegetables, fruits and fish, a bakery, pet supplies, (children’s) clothes, a poulterer, regional products, flowers and plants, jewellery and much more.

Flea market

From April till October, there is a flea market every Saturday from 10 am. to 5 pm. on the Kloosterwandplein. Lovers of antiques can indulge in this accessible market.

Some stroll over the market, while others discover true antique treasures or search for special gift to take home. This market offers something for everyone!

Annual fair

Every 1st Saturday of September is the Annual fair in Roermond. What makes this the biggest market in Roermond? All market vendors are present on one day, on several squares and the stallholders’ competition is held:

The weekly market at the Markt and Munsterplein
The flea market at Kloosterwandplein
Special art market on Munsterplein
A record fair in the Graaf Gerardstraat
A stallholders’ competition on the Varkensmarkt & Steenweg: the stallholders sell their unique products without abandon. Throughout the market day, the stallholders will be judged by a jury on their originality, eloquence and perseverance. Around 4.30 pm., the winner of the stallholders’ competition will be announced at his or her own stand.
