The rivers the Roer, the Maas and surrounding Maas lakes (in Dutch Maasplassen, an interconnected network of large and small lakes that were created by gravel extraction), really invite you to spend a day near or on the water. ☀️ Noorderplas ☀️

Beach club Bruis
At Bruis you can relax with your feet in the sand or water. This trendy beach bar is just a 20-minute walk from our historic downtown Roermond.This unique location on the water makes you feel like you’re abroad. The summery menu (lunch or dinner) with tasty snacks and drinks, the nice furniture and cosy lounge music give you a real holiday feeling.

Ice cream shop Clevers
This ice cream shop is located (next to beach club Bruis) on the water with a beautiful view over the Weerd (Noorderplas)! At the ice cream shop Clevers you can choose between an ice cream to-go or delicious sundaes. The extensive menu includes more than 40 different ice cream sundaes and 6 children’s sundaes.

Beach club Koers Zuid
Surfing, supping, relaxing, sun and water, enjoy the real surf style that is Beach club Koerszuid. Relaxing in the sun with a nice drink, a snack or dish from the lunch menu. Kids can enjoy the beach, playground and large trampoline. Besides a cosy beach club, you can also take surfing or sup lessons here (private or in groups).

Yacht 5
Yacht 5’s floating terrace can be found in Area X. In Area X, adrenaline junkies (including wakeboarding), sun worshippers (beach) and outdoor terrace lovers will find everything they want. Yacht 5 has a beautiful view over the Noordplas and the wakeboard/water-ski track. Enjoy delicious drinks and snacks in a cosy atmosphere, which, by the way, you can order and pick up yourself at the bar. There is no table service.
Open from June to August on Fridays till Sundays.

Yacht 5’s floating terrace can be found in Area X. In Area X, the adrenaline junkie (including wakeboarding), sun worshipper (day beach) and terrace lover can fulfil all their desires. Yacht 5 has a beautiful view over the Noordplas and the wakeboard/water-ski track. Pamper yourself in this unique restaurant with a South American menu, matching wines and cocktails.
Open all year round on Thursday to Sunday.

☀️ Oolderplas ☀️

Beachclub Oolderhof & Beachclub Next Door
Within cycling distance (10 minutes) of the historic city centre Roermond, you can sit back and relax at the beach club on the Oolderplas. You can even moor your boat here at Oolderhof’s private jetty. This is no classic beach club with just some drinks and finger food: at Oolderhof Beach Club, you will enjoy an extensive menu with international dishes, even for young visitors. The beautiful view (especially at sunset) is included here!

Frends Beach
Beachclub Frends Beach is located in Herten, 15 minutes from the centre of Roermond. Enjoy a nice glass of wine, a beer or a cocktail. On the menu they have all kinds of snacks for lunch, dinner or drinks.

Heere aan de Maas
This lovely restaurant is located at Resort Marina Oolderhuuske (campsite, marina and holiday homes), situated on a peninsula between the Maaslakes and river Maas. At Heere aan de Maas you can relax & enjoy a beautiful view over the water all year round with an ice cream sundae, coffee with Limburg flan (regional speciality) and lunch (until 4pm). In the evening, feast with dinner Tastou (a tasting of unlimited dishes for a fixed price).

Thuishaven Hatenboer
